A cargo de reconocidos productores Jake One (G-Unit, Lloyd Banks, DeLa Soul), Illmind (Dave Ghetto, Supastition, Common), 9th Wonder (Little Brother, Jay Z, Destiny's Child, Mary J. Blige), Nicolay (Foreign Exchange) y Vitamin D (Rha Digga, Choklate, Blackalicious) sólo por nombrar algunos. También encontramos participaciones de importantes representantes de nuestro hiphop, tales como Little Brother, Darien Brockington, Erikah Badu (ganadora de un grammy), Yahsarah, Thesis, Verbal Seed, Deloach, entre otros.
Tiene un intro bastante interesante, despierta muchas sensaciones y ya desde un comienzo empiezas a hacerte espectactivas de lo que podría venir. Los cortes siguientes terminan por sumirte en el mundo strange fruit project, una nube de optimismo, buenos beats y el conocido flow de Mith, S1 y Myone.

Prince Po - Pretty Black

Prince Po (Prince Poetry), originario de Queens, NY, es un mc que en los 90’s junto a Pharaon Monch, formaba parte del legendario grupo de rap llamado Organized Konfusion. Junto a PharaonMonch solo logró ver 3 albums, finalizando su carrera juntos con el disco “The Equinox” por Priority Records en 1997. Luego de esto siguieron carreras solos y Prince Po nos presenta su album debut “Pretty Black”, donde encontramos participaciones tales como de Madlib, en especial en el single “Holla”, Large Professor, 2Mex, Rockwilder y otros.
Este disco quiere cumplir con la función de reencontrarle la belleza al mundo y al lado “negro” de las cosas y otorgar un buen Hip Hop.

Cl Smoot – American Me (2006)

El personaje que a acompañado a pete rock durante gran parte de su extendida trayectoria, es quien hoy en día no ha parado su trabajo y mucho menos ha salido de su línea de rap underground; siendo poseedor de un gran fraseo y una muy buena adaptación a cualquier beat que se le cruce. No cabe duda que estamos hablando de Cl Smooth, miembro importantísimo en el realce del respeto que hoy posee pete rock, convirtiéndose esto en algo reciproco para el. Tras haber colaborado con innumerables artistas y teniendo una trayectoria que remonta desde los 90, el neoyorquino Cl el año recién pasado junto a su fiel compañero pete rock nos sorprendió con un VLS de dos traces titulado “it`s a love thing”, los cuales se desprenden de la presente entrega de Cl titulada “American Me”.

Lo cual no se puede de esperar menos de los productores y dj’s ala vez como son bobbito & adrian gibbson los cuales son caracteristicos de ellos, tambien mezcla de cantantes de renombre como lo son Q-tip (uno de mis cantantes favoritos .. jajaj), Soulive, Sara divine entre otros. tambien les cuento que este album trae un toque New Yorkino en su totalidad.

Este álbum recién dado a luz hace un par de meses bajo la placa Slam Jamz Recordings, es capaz de mostrar un gran avance en la música rap, mezclando y usando muy bien elementos de otros estilos, pudiendo así lograr un rap muy crudo y dulce a la vez. En 8 cortes producidos por Daheeteus y Dj Hylanda, ambos parte del grupo, son capaces de mostrar todo su gran talento al momento de hacer rap, tanto en los beats como en sus rimas, lo que cuando se habla de grupos tan numerosos como este puede ser difícil de encontrar y mas aun en tan solo 7 tracks.
